Thames Clipper services start at Royal Wharf
Thames Clipper services finally started serving the Royal Wharf Pier, which has been constructed at the western end of Royal Wharf, opposite the under-construction Ensign Tower.
The pier will be served by the RB1 route during the week, allowing travellers to travel west to the O2, Greenwich, Canary Wharf, Tower of London, London Bridge, Bankside, Blackfriars, Embankment, Westminster and Waterloo.
From Thames Clippers:
From Friday 18 October 2019, Thames Clippers will begin calling at Royal Wharf. Our 23rd pier provides a new transport option to and from central London for residents of the Royal Docks, visitors to ExCel London and travellers using London City Airport.
Located between North Greenwich and Woolwich (Royal Arsenal) piers, Royal Wharf will be served by our RB1 route during the week and RB1, RB1X and RB5 at weekends.
The new service offers journey times of 38 minutes between Royal Wharf Pier and central London (London Bridge City Pier), with boats running a direct service every 20-30 minutes at the morning and evening peak times and every 30 minutes during the day at weekends.
