Fullers announce Royal Wharf pub to open early 2019
Fullers have confirmed they are planning on opening a new pub at Royal Wharf in early 2019. Located at the base of Summerston House, the pub will be spread over two floors, and include a substantial, 2,000sq ft. terrace opening out onto the river.
Fullers' Chief Executive Simon Emeny is reported to have said, “Royal Wharf is a fantastic location in an area where we are currently under represented and our site is in prime position, on the water’s edge. The development is centred around a vibrant high street and local market square and our new pub will be popular with local residents and visitors to this up and coming area. It will be a great addition to our estate and our tenth riverside pub in London.”
A separate press release issued on behalf of Ballymore and Oxley stated that the pub is due to open later in 2018, rather than 2019 as suggested above. The relevant details from the press release are included below:
Royal Wharf, a new neighbourhood by Ballymore and Oxley, today announces an agreement with Fuller’s for the occupation of new commercial space.
The London brewer and premium pub company will occupy a prime commercial unit in the first phase of the development. The new site has direct river frontage and a 2,000sq ft. area for alfresco eating. It will deliver the excellent food, drink and service experience that Fuller’s pubs are famous for and is scheduled to open for business later in the year.
