About the development
The Royal Wharf development continues the regeneration of areas of east London, with the creation of significant new community on the north bank of the River Thames.
3,385 new apartments and townhouses are to be built over three phases in the 40 acre site, with the first homes expected to be complete in December 2016.
The developers boast that 45% of the development will be public open space, and will include a 2.4 acre park and a riverside promenade. A communal square and high street are to be created, encouraging shops, cafes and restaurants to the development.
Finally, the development will also incorporate a leisure centre and school.
The following video, produced by Ballymore in 2013, includes an overview of the development and includes a number of interesting "fly-throughs" of the development, giving a good idea of what the development may look like once it's complete.
